Hinduism is an indian religion or way of life. hinduism is the world's 3rd largest religion closely following Christianity and Islam. however, unlike the top 2 religions, 95% of hindus live in a single nation (india).
The holiest number for hindus is 108. this is the ratio of sun's distance (from earth)/sun's diameter or moon's distance (from earth)/moon's diameter. thus, most of our prayer beads have 108 beads.
Yoga or Meditation also an important part of hindu culture. hinduism is closely related to other indian religions, including Buddhism, Buddhism and Jainism.
1. Brahman is truth and reality. hindus believe in brahman as the one true god who is formless, limitless, all-inclusive, and eternal. brahman is not an abstract concept. it is a real entity that encompasses everything (seen and unseen) in the universe.
2. Individual souls are immortal - a hindu believes that the individual soul (atman) is neither created nor destroyed; it has been, it is, and it will be. actions of the soul while residing in a body require that it reap the consequences of those actions in the next life — the same soul in a different body. soul like energy.
3. Karma - All our actions return to us in a cycle.
4. Sansara - Our karma draws us back to the world after we die. we are born again in a new body, and continue wandering through positive and negative experiences in the world in an eternal cycle of constant changes and impermanence.
5. Moksha - It is possible to get free from the wheel of sansara and experience infinite and eternal joy without further suffering.
6. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - Which means the world is one family (universal brotherhood)
